One of the greatest aids JPSO has is calls from neighbors who see something on their block that raise their suspicion. With this in mind, neighbors gathered together all over Jefferson Parish October 16th for the annual “Night out Against Crime,” designed to strengthen neighborhood support, increase crime prevention awareness, and stimulate anti-crime efforts. Also, it was a lot of fun.

    Jefferson Parish and the Jefferson Convention and Visitors Bureau unveiled the Louisiana Oyster Trail. Visitors and locals alike will experience the local flavor, as well as the flare of local artists' hand-painted oyster sculptures depicting Jefferson Parish, focusing on Jefferson Parish restaurants that serve Louisiana Oysters.

    Jefferson Parish announces the grand opening of Lafreniere Park’s new, cool and refreshing “Spray Park”. The Lafreniere “Spray Park” is located adjacent to the Carousel. It covers approximately 4,000 square feet of surface and will provide five fun, in-ground water spray features alternating with five above-ground water spray attractions and three water ‘cannons’.
