Jefferson Parish Officials broke ground on the Submerged Roads Program in Council District 1 on the West Bank Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Woodland West Walking Trail in Harvey. The ceremony marked the continuation of a $100 million Hurricane Katrina Submerged Roads Program for the parish-wide repair of local residential streets, encompassing resurfacing of asphaltic concrete pavement and intermittent concrete panel replacement.
