The Uncle Sam Jam celebration in Jefferson Parish took place on July 3, 2014, at the Al Copeland Concert & Meadow Stage in Lafreniere Park and was bigger and better than ever featuring country music stars Lee Greenwood and Jana Kramer and local favorite Christian Serpas and Ghost Town.
Jefferson Parish 2014 Beanbag Baseball Tournament Senior Citizens from all over Jefferson Parish came out to compete in this year's Beanbag Baseball Tournament. The Parish's Senior Services Department holds
the tournament each year to encourage it's seniors to come out and socialize, exercise,
and, most importantly, have fun!

Local favorite Christian Serpas and Ghost Town will kick-off the free concerts. Uncle Sam Jam gates open at 4:00pm. The celebration is free and open to the public.
The Bug Mobile is a mobile education program presented by Audubon Zoo educators. It recently made a stop at the East Bank Regional Library and offered kids an up-close encounter with creepy, crawly critters from and around the world.
The International Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo is held during the last weekend in July that includes the Sunday. It is the oldest fishing tournament in the United States. This year’s rodeo takes place July 24, 25, & 26, 2014
Between May 15 - May 19, 2014, the
City of Kenner hosted the Moving Wall, a Vietnam Memorial, at Kenner’s Veterans Park.
